Posted by Tom Ma on March 11, 2010 at 10:05 pmI posted this on the C4D board to no avail, so I thought I’d try it over here, as I know how many AE users are C4D users as well.
I am looking for a good training book for C4D.
Something along the lines of Trish Meyers AE book, but for C4D would be great.
I prefer a book so I can read outdoors or without wires.
thanks!

March 12, 2010 at 5:31 pmSorry, Tom, but there are very few book on Cinema 4D. I don’t think that there are any books for the current release (R11.5), which means there are no books that cover the big new dynamics features for MoGraph 2.
I tried learning R10 with a book, but ultimately I found the training videos a lot easier to follow. I don’t think there is anything comparable to the Meyer’s AE books.

March 12, 2010 at 7:13 pmPerhaps you could get the training videos on an iPad. That way you get the outside/fresh air, but still get the more effective video training.
And finally; a use for the iPad.– The Great Szalam

March 12, 2010 at 8:19 pmI’ve learned a ton from Tim Clapham. He’s done a few classes with FXPHD that were quite good.
MAXON’s Cineversity looks to have some exciting updates coming this year, too.
