Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with Apple’s website when doing a routine software updates? I’ve tried to do updates the past two nights and it takes forever to download the them. I have a broadband connection that checks out at almost 15Mb/sec. when I do a speed test(Turbo Roadrunner). All the other websites I visit load promptly. When I go to Apple there are five updates that need to be done on my machine. The first one is simply downloading the Plug in manager-a piddling 1.3 meg file and it tells me that it will take over 15 minutes to download it. 1.3 meg in 15 minutes? What’s up with that? That would usually take me less than 30 seconds.
Is it possible things are slow due to the upcoming NAB convention next week? Maybe they are retooling the site and things are running slowly?
    Anyone else notice any problems?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Update:
Well, I just tried it one more time and it’s flying now. Just downloaded 300meg in just a few minutes. Weird. Maybe I have someone downloading movies or some huge files in my neighborhood and choking all the bandwidth out of this node.
ANyhow, it seems to be fine now.
