Get your self an empty and dry ice cube tray. Every time you take out a different set of screws, put it in a different bin of the ice cube tray.
You have seen the guides at http://www.ifixit.com right? It’s a step by step process with pictures. It looks daunting, but it’s really easy and fun (well for me anyway, but I like stupid things like that). I replaced my girlfriend’s 12″ ibook hard drive and it took a while as I had to completely disassemble the entire laptop to get to the hard drive but it was cool.

July 18, 2007 at 5:44 pmHmmm,
Comp USA was the first thing I thought of after reading Walter’s original post, ’cause their stores here had Apple Stores in them for a while now. I say “had,” because all CompUSA stores in Arizona closed a couple months ago, except one I think. Great stores, too.

July 18, 2007 at 5:50 pmIn addition, never purchase an extended warranty from Best Buy. They do indeed lie about repair work to keep from replacing your product. If you ask to use your rewards card after the transaction has begun, they WILL NOT amend the purchase. You have to return the product and purchase it again, or call that wonderful 800#.
All CompUSA stores in the greater Sacramento area are closed.

I was thinking something like that. Also was gonna Color code my screw holding containers to coincide with the colors on ifixit’s website.

July 18, 2007 at 7:36 pmThe local Comp USA closed here in NJ also, kinda too bad as my experience was good – the Apple rep was quite helpful; I bought the G5 I’m using FCS on as a corporate customer, they took back and swapped my second 23″ display simply because I didn’t like the looks of it (too purply not that they all aren’t to some extent…) and so on..
