    Hey guys,

Any Mac users out there experiencing smooth playback with Blackmagic hardware?

    Despite this fix:

    https://kb2.adobe.com/cps/842/cpsid_84287.html

… sequences will play but every second time or so they will stop after 1 or two seconds. Other than that the systems seems reliable.

Premiere reports dropped frames but blackmagic disk tests show that i am getting 320MBs read and write.

I am working in pro res.

    System Specs:

16 core Mac with 24GIG ram
    METASAN
BLACKMAGIC HD EXTREME 3d with latest drivers.

    THanks,

    Marcus.

    Found the solution:

Basically you have to use the bundled blackmagic presets of uncompressed 4:2:2 or AVC as your sequence preset. You can’t use any other codec like PRORES or premiere will stop playback and report dropped frames. A limitation certainly but still I’m stoked I can get the software to play in realitime… 😉

Has anyone onlined a 10 bit 4:4:4 feature with premiere with a dual SDI on a mac? I have my doubts…

    Marcus
