Ever since I upgraded to pro (release 1.o) I have been unable to burn DVDs. I have successfully used Ulead Studio 7 SE but this involves exporting my pro project to tape, importing into Ulead and then burning. After successfully transcoding in pro 1.0 with adobe media encoder it fails to burn on a pioneer A107 D for reason of error OSErr-224. If I could prepare an image I could burn that externally with Nero because I would like to take advantage of pro’s superior mpeg encoding superior over Ulead Studio. I have looked for a fix and Google finds little reference to OSErr-224. Even the adobe media encoded files have some bizarre extension (mv2) which seems to be useless with other programs. I have considered upgrading to 1.5 for another $200 but Adobe support is shamelss and although I have in the past reinstalled all my software as a last resort I thought XP had resolved this and I would hate to do this again. If anyone knows how to correct OSErr-224 or knows of a-work-around so that I can burn mv2 type encoded files please help me

    Sincerely
    Steve

Try rebooting the PC and then open Pro project and try to burn it. I have read that other buring apps hijack Pro’s burning drivers. Also make sure no burning apps are running in the background. On your desktop, Click Start>Run and enter msconfig. Choose the Start Up tab at the top and deselect ALL, then apply and restart your PC and try again.
BTW…the .m2v and .wav files that the Media Encoder produces are elementary streams that most DVD authoring app want as assets.
