Oscars 2006: Opinions?

March 6, 2006 at 7:29 amFor those of you that watched the show, what did you think? I thought it was pretty simple and effective. For most of the show, they just used while particles. Although, the introduction was very well done. I wonder how might time it took to do that.

March 10, 2006 at 3:42 amI thought the opening was great. Do you know of any program that allows you to easily lift subjects from video like they did for the opening sequence? The only way I would tackle something like that would matte it almost frame by frame in After Effects.

March 14, 2006 at 3:59 amI think programs like Shake and flame are much better at doing that kind of compositing. It was a fabulous open and I liked the overall look to the graphics, but I also liked the stage production and design.
It worked for me.
