    Hello All,

Well worn path here, I’m sure, and sorry to be asking it again. Does anybody have a download link for Mavericks 10.9.0? I might also do 10.10.0 if somebody can confirm that FCP 7 will work on it. I use Avid professionally, but occasionally need to do some work with FCP 7, so…

Looking to upgrade from 10.8.5, btw.

Damn Apple. I swear I’m going back to Windows when it’s time to replace my machine. Grrrr.

    I couldn’t get a 10.9 upgrade either so went with 10.10.4

Both FCP 7 and apple color work just fine with it.

Someone rented the room with it and used it all week, no problems.

Yeah, that’s what I did too. Cloned my system and just went for it. Haven’t yet installed FCP 7. Others said it works too. However, I can’t find a way to get client monitor output, as both BM and Matrox have dropped FCP 7 support from their latest drivers. Guess if I ever have to use it again, it’s strictly computer monitoring, huh?

I usually don’t change drivers unless there is a problem.

The 10.x blackmagic driver I’m running now works with fcp7 and color
    in os x 10.10.4

What blackmagic hardware is it you are using ?

I am looking for something to replace MXO2 mini for FCP7 HD monitoring in OS 10.9 or 10.10, (MXO2 audio output not working with FCP7 in my OS 10.9)

Honestly, I assumed there would be no client monitor output from FCP 7 given that it is no longer listed on the officially supported list, and users were reporting as much on various forums. I’ll be re-installing FCP Studio this weekend and I’ll test it first hand.

I’m mostly happy, because Media Composer and Pro Tools both seem to be working very well, and that’s my bread and butter.

I only got MXO2 mini working (video only) for Client Monitor output in FCP7.0.3 under OS 10.9 by installing not the driver for Mavericks but the last driver listed as supporting FCP7: v2.6.1 for Mountain Lion.

If the old M/Lion driver istalled fine in Mavericks I wouldn’t mind knowing if it also works for the MXO2 in Yosemite.
