    Hey guys,

have an 8 core 2.8 I got over Xmas and run leopard 10.5.6. For some reason, ut just seems like the OS has been more and more ‘unstable’ the past few weeks. Examples–

1- more spinning beach balls resulting in crashes or freezes. Force quit won’t completely shut programs down so I have to manually reset the computer (can’t do restart). This used to be a frequent problem with FCP, but I’m seeing now with safari, Flash, Fireworks, among other programs.

2- Sometimes when it goes into powersave or sleep mode, I can’t wake it up. won’t respond to buttons or the mouse. Have to manual restart.

3- the fan in the front is making a slight buzz noise.

Have tried to repair the disk permissions but not helping. I am just getting agitated as this is less than 6 months old. the programs installed have worked fine in my older model, I don’t download anything suspect or anything. Just seems like he OS has gotten unstable and I’m hoping for a remedy without having to backup and re-install everything. Help or suggestions would be great. Thanks!
