According to the net the London store went offline today cause somebody leaked “Octo core” and Octo core would be useless without an operating system that was multi threaded to take advantage of 8 cores which should be Leopard..

NAB will have a few surprises me thinks… everybody else has been pluging ahead, an Apple has been just steady…. something tells me that Apple will kick butt at NAB…

Time for BIG movement, BIG things

You’re right… Last year was a big disappointment for me. But I knew something big must have been in the works. It only makes sense… An OctoCore running Leopard using FCP 6 Extreme.

[Steve Eisen] “10.4.9 means Leopard is coming very soon!”

    Or that 10.4.10 is next?

    unlikely Arnie

although some developers do use double digit release numbers, its not a practice that Apple has ever indulged in for OS point release updates
more likely, if a further maintenance release is required, it would be a 10.4.9.1. i’d expect that to be post-Leopard.

    cheers

    Well….

Just let you know…. I had some down time to play and update.

Boy… that is a rare thing for me these days. But, its nice!

I upgraded everything in Apple Software Update three days ago. So far, so good! No issues that I have seen yet.

And YES, I did clone my drive to another before trying this update! Always a must!
