Yes, they are getting ready to burn the place down after the recent body lice episode. The police and health departments found a body there that had been drained of all fluids. In the upper corner of the room was the largest louse that anyone had ever seen.

The district attorney wanted to try the louse and the hotel owner (who looked as if the two might be related) in court on charges of first degree murder but the defense attorney argued that a case could be made for suicide as the victim knowingly stayed there without duress.

A National Guard unit was brought in to capture the louse (and the hotel manager), after two Las Vegas policemen were killed in the line of duty when they were crushed as the louse sprung toward the door. Only the quick wit of the hotel manager — holding up a bill for room service, charging the louse for all he had eaten — restrained the louse long enough for the Guard unit to arrive.

For $40, they will give you a room that records show recently had the sheets changed.

I stayed at the Orleans once for NAB… that was the last time our office manager was allowed to make travel arrangements for us… The funny thing is,you think you are saving money with room rate, but you end up paying for it in cab fares… (It’s WAAAAY off the strip…)
