Original media folder questions
To try to save disk space I’m trying to figure out if it’s safe to delete the Original Media folder contents if I have imported files (h.264) and they have been optimised in FCPX.
Also, does anyone know if it’s possible import footage files via move (not copy) to a final cut event without using aliases, when the files are on the same drive in a different folder e.g FCP7 capture scratch.

All media must touch the events folder with either importing it to the events folder (which duplicates media) or using aliases by leaving the media in place.
FCPX does not work like fcp7 and below.
I hope this gets reworked a bit as 3 copies of the same media on the same drive is pretty silly.
