I need to makea text move like a snake. I know that I could use a line as a path to animate my text, but I need it to be in 3D space, as if we were seen a snake from above.

Can anyone tell me how to do that wit After Effects?
Is there any plugin to arganicly animate objects?
    Thanks for the attention.

Mmh, I don’t quite follow. What would be wrong with pre-composing the animated text and using that composition as a 3D-layer? If you use the collapse transformations switch, you even get the best possible quality. Other than that, look at Dan Ebbert’s site (www.motionscript.com), he has a wonderful explanation on creating any kind of trailing effects.
