    hey hey,

i’m dying to know how ordinary folk is doing these gradients on 3d objects!!

    https://vimeo.com/353635147

especially the torus seen here by Deanna Reilly:
    https://vimeo.com/362585647

it looks like a gradient shader with maybe a bubble shader and some noise bump, but how is the torus so seethrough at the beginning of the clip? and at the end, how are the shadows on the torus created?

Deanna shows the styleframes on her website, and the styleframes are so specific and she got them exactly right. how would someone be able to get such a specific gradient in c4d?

    thanks!!

I don’t have the answer, but I too would like to find out. However my instinct is telling me that they could have been at least the spheres achieved directly inside after effects (I’ll wait to hear for some responses on C4D, otherwise I’ll try to provide an approach for the spheres within After effects)
