Ordinal 406…!@#!

Hmmm…I am guessing that the font Ordinal 406 is the problem (although, I have never heard about this font). Can you go into your Windows font directory to see if there is such a font? If so, delete it and try starting Premiere Pro again. If not then, press the Shift key and load Premiere Pro. This should clear up the problem.

Hey Thanks for the reply …but no joy….I cant find the font ordinal 406….not even sure if it is a font….also holding the shift key….not workin…..Think ordinal 406 is somthing to do with the system right …emmm its driving me nutz..thanks anyway..A

Alan,

I think Ordinal 406 refers to a code segment in the dll not to a font. Somehow you have the wrong version of PREMINFO.dll on your system.

Maybe a complete uninstall and make sure that PREMINFO.dll is gone before the reinstall might help. You might also try the Adobe knowledge base before hand. Perhaps you’ll find advice there so you don’t have to try the un/re install dance.

Hey Thanks for that….I think you are right about O406…did,t think it waz a font…but my problem occured after loading fonts…..Iv already tryed reinstall…3x times….and iv done a windows repair from disk…….and reg fix ….still same prob…
I might try to find preminfo.dll and delete it …mmmmm…maybe not….thanks anyway…

Seems you’ve got a legacy plug-in that is trying to call a function in preminfo.dll. The problem is, in your version of Premiere, the function doesn’t exist where the plug-in expects to find it. Basically, the solution is to uninstall that plug-in, since it won’t work with your version of Premiere.

Ahhh…This would make sense….Any idea how i work out which plugin to uninstall

I had pro 1.0…befor i upgrade to 1.5….Iv tryed reinstaling 1.5 …4 times..no joy !

Hey how ya doin….Great question…..I have been thinkin about this …My client…
BRIDE…( I do 25 wedding vidz per season)…Insisted on having Bickham script font for her titles….I spent almost a day downloading every font pack I could find…I got 1000s….all except Bickham….In the end I had to buy Bickham from adobe…
When I unzipped all tese fonts …some went into C:/program/commom…..some ended up in C:/programs /adobe…..and some in the windows font file…..I can see all of them
in prem when I use the titler and can use any of them in prem no prob….But my problem started just after I unzipped all my fonts ..I waz gonna move them …but was not sure where all my fonts should live ….I am under the impression that they should all be in C:/programs /common…is this correct..?…Thing is ….now…Iv just tryed to use Encore…to burn my project …and no matter wat i do…it comes up
