Ordering parts off the internet
I accidentally tripped while holding my ag-dvx100A and the front cap’s thingymabobs all fell off. The lens itself is fine, but all the plastic parts forward from that fell off and the screws were stripped so we weren’t able to just put it back together.
We need to re-order the parts that fell off. We know where to order the parts and what parts we need, but we don’t know what the parts are called without having to pay 50 bucks for some manual with all the schematics and the official names of the parts.
The “focus ring” part is fine (ie the ring you use to focus), as well as the very outer guard (used to shield the sun and stuff), but the other two plastic parts used to keep all of these things together broke and the screws were stripped. We need to order these two plastic things, but we have no idea what they are called.
Does anyone know of a way we can find out what the parts are called, or even knows what the parts are called? It is frustrating to know exactly what you need, but not being able to order it because you don’t know the name (sorry, but I am completely niave when it comes to knowing the names of the parts).
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

I’d try a call to a local service center. Normally they have a parts book and may be able to help you order it. But for all the hassle you might find it just slightly more expensive and much easier and more reliable to have them fix it for you instead.
