  • Order of applying audio effects?

    Hello everyone,

I’m looking to add some audio effects for a video project’s audio track that needs work, and I’m wondering what order I should apply effects? This is a college lecture that I’m editing in Premiere CS5, so it’s all simply spoken word.

I’m looking to apply the following effects to the track in Soundbooth:

    EQ
Noise reduction to take out room noise (hiss)
    Compression
    Volume boosting

Would you apply those effects/filters in the order I listed? Thanks.

I might say Noise reduction first then EQ.

the compression might already have a output gain control in it, so the volume might not even be necessary….so I would double check that
