    Hi,

I’m editing 24PA DV footage on FCP shot with a DVX-100 and noticed that the bright orange uniform worn by a student looks very blocky and pixelated. I never noticed this blockiness with other footage, but there’s a definite difference when this student wears bright orange. I opened the file in quicktime and noticed the same issue. Could FCP or the DVX has some compression issues with the orange color?

    Thanks,
    Alexander

I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave some moments ago on another forum.

I admit I’m a post hog. But it’s always great to get a wealth of opinions and solutions to a certain problem. One guy on Apple forums noticed issues with reds and the DVX. Your advice was right on the spot though. Thanks again!

The orange shows up while editing, but when outputting to tape, supposedly it doesn’t show up.
