  • Option to show timecode on a clip starting from 0

I’m working on a project using FCPX for the first time (edited on fcp7 for years and in PP for the last 4)

I have about 60 clips which the director has made selects from by watching the rushes on their laptop, making timecode notes in using regular timecode starting at 00, not the actual clips timecode.

I cannot believe there isnt an option in FCPX to view the clip and choose the TC to start at 00 (as there is in every other editing software). I’ve worked on so many projects where I’ve received notes on selects and transcripts where the director/producer uses the TC begins at 00 and not the actual clips timecode (through watching the og rushes on laptop in QT which display it from 00)

I cant create a project for every single one of these clips to put a 00 TC on them. And do not want to mess around creating a compound clip for every clip either. Is there really no way to do this?

I was under the impression FCPX was now a serious editing tool.
