Does anyone know about the Optimize Stills option? I am using Premiere CS3.

I have a 30 minute show with a audio track that has nothing but still photos.

Do you know if it is recommended to use the Optimize Stills option?
I am looking for the very best quality out of my show.

Some people say to use the option and other say not to.

    Thanks,
    Mark

As I understand it, optimize stills takes out obsolete frames in still images (since there is no change in the timeline), which would in theory make the render faster.

Some people have reported issues in playback with the option checked, so I usually keep in unchecked. That only comes in play if have absolutely still images, if you don’t, don’t worry about it.
