    Hi guys,
I’ve been given an Illustrator logo which I’ve imported into C4D. I’ve noticed on several corners there are multiple points all occupying the same space, which is messing up the sweep nurbs object I need to use. My question is, how is it possible to weld these points together when they’re all on top of each other? Is it possible to convert a spline to edges (the logo is all linear), optimize the points, and then convert in back to a spline? Hope this makes sense.
    Many thanks,
    Phil

You can use Optimize on splines too (assuming they are close enough really), you can also use the Weld tool if you select all the points first (just uncheck Only Select Visible Elements then select all the points you want to weld)

    Thank you,
the points just wouldn’t weld or optimize so I ended up putting the spline into an extrude nurbs object with a depth of 0m. I then made it editable, optimized the points, selected all the edges and used the edge to spline command. Kind of a long way around but it finally got rid of all those extra points.
    Cheers,
    Phil
