    Hey all,

I searched the archives but didn’t find any results at all.

I have a G5 quad 2.5ghz with 4gb ram and I’m not 100% convinced that I am getting the best performance out of it in AE6.5. Does AE6.5 take advantage of multi core machines? and can anyone advise me of any tweaks I can make that might miximise the performance of my machine.

    Thanks in advance

4Gb of Ram is a bit low. AE has a 3Gb limit for Ram so that would leave you with 1Gb for your OS and other apps if running at the same time. Also a better graphics card could help. But the best way to get the most out of your set up is to buy GridIron Nucleo or Nucleo Pro. AE is written to work with only a single processor and Nucleo lets you benefit from the 3 other processors as well. Faster renders and faster previews. Check their website, they have benchmarks to show you the difference.
