    Hey Everybody,

I think I may have come into contact with a bug in 10.06. No matter what project I’m cutting, whether it be SD or 5K I’ve noticed that whenever I apply FCPX’s slow motion to a clip, the play back is choppy. Where in the past the slow motion worked beautifully now not so much. So this is the real issue, whenever I try and change the slowed down clip to optical flow.

Not only does the program freeze but the entire system does. I can’t open or close any apps or windows, I can’t tab through anything, I can’t enable the dock (hidden) or the menubar. All I can do is flail my pointer around the screen with nothing occurring.

I left my computer like this over night to see if it just needed to do its typical mac ‘figure it out’ thing, but alas it didn’t work. And I had to do a cold restart of my computer, thus force quitting FCPX (which despite its autosave I REALLY DON”T LIKE DOING!)

Anyways I just wondered if you guys have experienced similar issues with optical flow and if so what you did to get around it?

I’ve currently doing a reinstallation of FCPX, so hopefully that helps. 🙂
