I’ve got this short part of a clip to test optical flow bcc 8.1 vegas pro plugin and I can’t get it to play smoothly at 10% of it’s speed. Can anyone give me a heads up on what settings I should use for this purpose?

BCC does not seem to be making up the interpolated motion compensated frames and the end result is all jumpy.

My source file (originally an AVCHD shot in 50i on a canon camera) is converted to an mp4 file. You can get it here.

The end result I got is viewable in the m2v file here.

Hi Peter,

I’d be happy to take a look at this for you. Can you please convert the mp4 file into another format, such as AVI and then post a link to the file? I’ll then download it and see if we can reproduce the issue in house.

Thanks for the interest as I am really curious to see the extent to which the slowmo is usable in BorisFX.

Just tell me please which codec do you wish me to encode the original AVCHD file. Or maybe I’ll just supply the original Canon AVCHD.

(BTW, I usually use cineform HD AVI proxys.)

What do you recon?

Hey Peter,

I was able to use the MP4 clip that you sent after all … I brought it into Vegas, then rendered out to AVI. The reason that I wanted to do this is so that I could filter the clip in After Effects, which would help determine whether the problem was isolated to one host or across all hosts.

When I have more into on this I’ll post another message … hopefully today, if not, then tomorrow morning.

Hi Peter,

I just tried the clip in AE and in Vegas on the same system and the result was the same – in both cases the video is rendered correctly, with movement in every frame.

Can you tell me please what version of Sony Vegas Pro are you using?

Vegas Pro v. 12 Build 394 (64 bit version).

Can you tell me what project settings you used in Vegas Pro?

Hi Peter,

I used the following settings:

1920×1080
25 FPS
UFF
Square

I was using Vegas 11 Pro 11.0 with BCC 8.1
