  • Optical Flare “unrecoverable error” during Preview and/or Render

Posted by Michele Poggi on March 4, 2011 at 8:13 pm

    I’m running A.E. CS5 on a HP 8740w, so a 64bit system and a Nvidia Quadro FX 2800.

I’m working on a titolation effect (PAL FULL HD), and Optical Flares crashes on some exact frames without any reason. Looking it with the timeline gives no issues, but RAM Previewing it or Rendering it causes some “unrecovable error”, and even changing/tweaking the Comp nothing changes. OpenGL is deactivated, and I don’t get what’s happening.

Do you have any idea? Do you know something about what can have OP crash like this? If you need any further info just ask, it’s really frustrating to be stuck on such a work and every help will be greatly appreciated.

I know that disabling GPU rendering tends to help fix some common issues…maybe give that a shot?

I’ve tried many output modules and I had the same error.
But when I’ve changed the composition zoom to 100% it worked !!
