    Hi all…

I need an opinion. How different is Final Cut 5 from the latest version?
I have a project that I need to get edited fairly soon, and I just got a new iMac intel. I know FCP version 5 pretty well, but have the the latest version FCP. I have not installed either one yet on my new machine. Question is, does the new version look and act radically different that 5? I need to get this job done asap, but I don’t need to go through another long learning curve to slow my editing down. Or would I do just as well to put on v6 because it looks and acts basically the same?

    Thanks!

No. It works pretty much the same since v.1.25 They have added more features and FCP 6 will run faster and better on your Intel iMac than v. 5. Just be sure to run ALL of the Software Updates.

In fact, run Software Update on your machine before you install Studio 2.
