I was half way into my production, then all of a sudden, the sequence window goes red, and error message of “operation not allowed” pops up on the screen. I can no longer scrub timeline or even press play button, error message pops up when I try to do either one. I can’t finish editing because FCP won’t let me make any additions or changes to the sequence! please help!!!

No files seem to be corrupt either…. i’m on a mac G5, dual 2Gig,
    please help!!!

Scott – Don’t save the project.

Either reload a recently saved version of the project (or use the Revert option in the File menu) or restore the project from a previously auto-saved version. You did have auto-save on, didn’t you? If the problem re-occurs, you may have an issue with corrupted media, a corrupted render file (which can be deleted) or corrupted preferences (ditto).

Breathe deeply. Let us know if you need more help – we’ve all be there.
