I am starting this string as a simple facts list that we can post to when we learn something that might be useful to others. Some of us will read something here and think it’s a no brainer, others of us will benefit from that tip. My starting tips I’ve learned from using the camera or talking to people who know way more than me:

    1. TC Syncing: Shooting with your HVX200 and a friend’s? If you’re shooting in P2 mode, you’ll find that the instructions to sync timecode on page 58 are not useful until you have done the following: A) Make sure both cameras are NOT recording in an ‘N’ mode (just for purposes of initial sync), and B) Cancel the thumbnail viewer on the slave camera by pressing the Thumbnail button. Follow the instructions from here and then return the slave to camera mode and both cameras to the recording mode of your choice, if necessary.

    2. Scene file menu goes back to VIDEO CAM on power down and I don’t want it to: Use the last menu item in scene file set-up to save over your F1 (or appropriate) scene file with FILM CAM selected.
