  • Opening scopes cause timeline force render issue

I captured some ProRes 59.94 422 clips, dropped them into a 59.94 timeline and they play fine without rendering. When I go to “Tools” and open the “scopes”, the red bar (force render) appears in the timeline. The timeline has not changed its format. When I close the “scopes” window, the red bar disappears. Is this just a weird anomaly or is it a bug? It does NOT happen with clips captures as DVCProHD in a DVCProHD timeline as far as I can tell.

I was noticing this two weeks ago with DVCPRO-HD and the realtime color corrector with more than one correction.

It goes orange, but back to normal layout its not there.

    both still play in realtime.

    does it play for you?

No, it will not play back without rendering.

Turn off realtime scopes (right click on the scope for the context menu) and you should be fine. You will still be able to read the scope when paused.

Your system is not fast enough for realtime scopes at this resolution.

Thank you John. That did it. I forgot about that one.
