Maybe this is a really dumb question but if I have Adobe Premiere CS4 on a pc and adobe premiere cs5 on a mac, can I open projects on either computer?

Also, what if we leave out the cs4 to cs5 hang up… lets pretend both computers have cs4 on them… is it possible to edit a project on an external hard drive on either computer?

Provided both platforms are running the same version of PPro then yes you can edit on one system to the other and back. I have been working like this since CS3.

Oh really? That is good news! What if I have cs4 on pc and cs5 on Mac? I don’t use a lot of filters or in depth things from premiere so it wouldn’t be the issue of using new effects only available in cs5.

Why do you use both Mac and pc? What do you think is the better computer? I have a pc but would maybe like to get a Mac to see what all the chatter is about. I never cared for macs before but I thought I would give them another chance. (I am writing this post on an iPad so I have to say nice things or Steve Jobs will come kick my butt.)
