opening Avid xpress pro project in avid xpress DV
Hi- I’m not an avid editor, but may have to become one soon to work on a project. I have Avid Xpress DV on my computer and my client has her footage and project file in Avid Xpress Pro. I’m used to FCP where you can’t open project files in older FCP versions. Is there anything like that with Avid? Will I be able to open her Avid project files?

You should be able to… I offlined a project on a PC XPress, then onlined it on a Mac Meridian system (it was 5 years older than the XPress version).
You might run into problems if your client has some third party FX on the project – other than that, you should be golden…
