Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Opening an eps

  • Posted by Dean Steinmann on March 16, 2006 at 4:20 pm

A client sent me an eps of their logo that I want to adjust and then import into Final Cut Pro. I have opened it in Photshop and have tried to save it in every possible format, tif, psd, jpg and others but when I import it into FCP, the colors are washed out like an old pair of blue jeans.

These files exported from Photoshop all look great when opened in Preview or Photoshop.

What can I do to make this work?

    Thanks,
    Dean

    Use “grab” from your dock?

Check the file in Photoshop to see if it is in CMYK mode. TV is RGB and the colors are probably being converted. There’s no real good way to convert the colors that I know of, but Photoshop might do a better job of it. In Photoshop, look under Image – Mode. I usually save my files out as PICTs but Targas or TIFs are good too.
