    Hi

I’m editing a commercial for Disneyland and the spot begins on a Greetings Card…after about 2 seconds, the card flips open to reveal footage. I was giving the top piece of the card thaat flips open as well as the bottom layer which stays still.

I’m pretty close right now but it’s not perfect. I’ve adjusted the Anchor point and positioned key frames to try and stablize the top of the card (the part that flips) w/ the bottom. I’m using the distort tool as well to get the “anchored-top-part” in line with the bottom (making it as wide as the bottom part as it flips)…it’s almost acceptaable but I want more.

Is there something I’m not doing right? A plug in of sorts?

    Any help is appreciated.

    thanks as always.

AE 7.0, G5, several plug ins.

If you’re working in 3d, I would suggest adding a few lights. Look at the way the lighting acts when you open a real greeting card, and try to emulate that in AE. I think it will add a realism to it that’ll make it pretty convincing.
