  • Opening a FCP10.1 library/event/project in older versions

Posted by Michal Oppenheim on April 12, 2014 at 1:52 pm

    Hi everyone,

I’m working on Final Cut Pro 10.1, but my boss is working with Final Cut Pro 10.
He will need to be able to open the projects that I’ll create.

Is there a way to save separate libraries while using FCP10.1, so that he could open them with an older version?

    Thanks a lot,
    Michal

Don’t think so. Probably the only solution is to export project XML from 10.1 and see if that will open in 10.0.x

the upgrade is substantial and free. Why don’t you just upgrade his system?
