    does anyone have a easy solution to this?

    when I open/import any files into Adobe products, the opening window is ALWAYS in the super annoying THUMBNAIL view instead of detailed view which is my default setting in Windows Explorer.

    I work on a brand new pc with XP Pro os.

    any setting to make Adobe open in only the detailed view??

    This is a global setting in the Windows Explorer (file dialogs are Explorer windows). Change it to list or detailed views in any normal folder view and make it the default – the file dialogs will adapt accordingly.
