Hi. I’m running after effects and was trying to enable the opengl function but when i go to edit – preferences – previews, the “enable opengl” box is faded grey(which means i dont have that option). I clicked on opengl info and it says it dosent detect my video card.

i’m running vista with a radeon x1300 512mb card. what do i do?

OpenGL implementation in After Effects is dodgy, most people don’t bother. In fact, you really won’t see much benefit unless you have a true workstation card like one of the nVidia Quadro or ATI FireGL cards.

If the check box is grayed out, that means your card doesn’t support the required openGL components, not much you can do about that.
