Shortly after the latest macOS update in High Sierra, premiere started randomly crashing on me. Giving me this message “Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro CC to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.” But this keeps happening. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, changed computers, started from scratch… the error message always returns seemingly randomly. It happens to every project. My brother found that OpenCL seems to be what’s crashing. If I change it to Metal, it works, but that means I have to go into every project and change it, it’s not a real fix. Why it’s crashing and how to fix it is a mystery to me. Does anyone know how I can fix this or what’s happening? I have no idea if it’s related to the macOS update somehow, but the problem seems to just suddenly pop up out of nowhere. I’ve been using Premiere regularly for years without this happening.
