    Hi everybody,

I’m trying to create the effect of curtains blown open by wind.

I use cc page curl to create the opening effect and try to give it a better feel with liquify. Works out pretty well.

But the curtains open towards the camera. I want them to open away from the camera, like the wind comes from behind.

Therefor I tried to precomp this animation and flip the new comp, but this doesn’t do the trick.

Does anyone now a solution to this “problem”?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there,
I had to do this a while ago and it worked out for me.

I used a photo of curtains. Masked out each side.
I used Mesh warp to warp the curtains flow.
I also used a subtle bulge in between the folds.
my last step was to adjust the lighting accordingly.

    hope that helps.

    good luck
    Jason

    Hi Jason,

Thanks! I worked it out quite well, but I may give this a try.
