Opacity Changes Don’t Work in Premiere CS 5.5
I have finished my first project after changing from Final Cut to Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and I am having an unbelievably frustrating time trying to get dissolves and opacity changes to work.
The seven minutes project probably uses seventy manually key framed opacity changes. All of them work great unrendered. As soon as I render the piece, about eleven of them change and look hideous. Instead of transitioning smoothly from 0% to 100%, they will remain unchanged through the first half of the transition and then suddenly drop to %50 and then smoothly transition to 100%.
I have tried everything I can find on forums. I turned off GPU effects. I have actually removed every single effect I used including mattes and even color correction.
I have a dual six core machine with 16Gb of RAM running Win 7 Pro. This should not be too underpowered to work a dissolve.
When I was using Final Cut and even Premiere CS 3, dissolves were never considered a ‘luxury option’… I find it hard to believe that Adobe would intentionally put out ‘professional’ software that can’t handle them.
Any one have any ideas?
