    good afternoon to all,

i hope that somebody remember me and i wish to explain that i have created a new account for the forum since my hard disk crashed due to a hardware problem and i have lost all my data among my login details for the forum

please, i wish to know what are the main differences between sony vegas pro 8 (i have) and vegas 10 (i am planning to upgrade)

i rendering just sd video so for the moment hd is not in my future plans

please, also i wish to know the sapphire radeon hd6570 ultimate 1 gb gddr3 will give any faster rendering speeds than my onboard intel graphics hd

i know that the celeron g530 i have is really weak on any video renderings but this i have for the moment

i thanking you very much inadvance

[kathreen anachioti] “please, i wish to know what are the main differences between sony vegas pro 8 (i have) and vegas 10 (i am planning to upgrade)”

Since Vegas Pro 12.0 is the latest release, I’m sure most of us have forgotten what features were introduced between Vegas Pro 8.0 and Vegas Pro 10.0. You can read the release notes of Vegas Pro 9.0 & 10.0 and see for yourself:

    Vegas Pro 9.0 Release Notes
    Vegas Pro 10.0 Release Notes

Most of the improvements were made to HD support so if you are still using SD I would save your money and not upgrade.

None at all. Vegas Pro 10.0 only supports NVIDIA CUDA cards. You’ll need to upgrade to at least Vegas Pro 11.0 to get support for your AMD card and Vegas Pro 12.0 for your Intel chip.

This is even more of a reason not to upgrade. Newer software requires newer computers. If you’re not upgrading your computer power, you should not upgrade to more power hungry software. I would stay on Vegas Pro 8.0 if all I was doing was SD videos.
