    Hello

I am not sure if this is possible or not. I am working to a tight deadline and need to shorten my render time as much as possible.

Scene: I have created a 3D word in which the camera animates around. Its zoom in on a object which has a hole in and the clients video fades up in the hole. The video will play for about 30 seconds but there will be still be a slight camera movement. As I am adding the footage in after effects I was wondering if there is a way to render the scene but when the video would come up I can cut out the middle so it doesn’t render my world behind it. Hope that makes sense.

I am trying to fill the hole with a solid that has a an alpha channel material applied but that doesn’t seem to work! Any ideas?

    Thanks

put your solid in the hole but use a Compositing tag to assign an object buffer to the solid and use the alpha channel it generates (Multipass)
