    Hi.
I’m editing a movie and I’m exporting it to an AVI file. For some reason Xvid doesn’t work with Premiere on any of my computers, so I normally export my entire project into either Uncompressed or Huffy, and then recompress in another program.

Anyway, I have a movie now and it’s 17 minutes. However, whenever I export it only renders parts of it. The audio stream remains uninterrupted, but the video jumps forward constantly, and the 17 minute movie ends up being 10 minutes.

Upon closer inspection, it appears to me that most of the clips that have been skipped are those containing some sort of effect. However there are several shots that DO contain effects that did get rendered.

I’m very confused and have no idea what to do.

For this application best use MS-DV type 2 AVI. If you want to use Xvid or similar, get a consumer application.

Thanks, but the issue isnt really the codec…I think.

The problem is the rendering. However, I finally managed to export a version where everything was perfect. 3 times previously, though, it hasn’t worked. Maybe it’s a little thing Im overlooking

What is your original source footage format?

The original is mostly huffy as well.

Anyway, I think you can delete the thread. I managed to export a full version without probs yesterday. Dunno whats wrong but its working now
