“One or more P2 clips failed to import”
Hi folks-
Just got off the phone with a good buddy who was having this issue with P2 on a MacBook Pro 17″ and wanted to pass along a solution that worked. When he went to import from Panasonic P2 copied to an external hard drive in FCP 5.1 instead of importing he got this message”
“One or more P2 clips failed to import; probable incomplete or corrupted clips.”
There are two solutions I’ve heard of that seem to fix this.
One- if the P2 contents have been copied to a hard drive under a folder with a # or other non-alphanumeric character. This seems to be fixable by getting rid of the character.
Two-Copy the folder from the external drive onto the system drive. This fixed my friend’s issue and was coming from a FW800 drive.
So- not sure whether it is the same issue or two distinct ones but something to keep in mind. Please let me know if you have any further experience with this or ideas what’s going on.
