We found out one of the harddisk damage from the XServe RAID system, and the capture process about two minutes to be stop.

I’m curiousity to suppose the RAID of the operation (output no problem, just capute!!!) will be fine even one of the harddisk failure.

    XServe: RAID 5 , 10 harddisks, 3T

Not an option in my opinion. With a drive down in a RAID 5 it is only usable in a degraded state which means it’s incredibly slow since the RAID controller is building the missing info on the fly. In that state I don’t think you could trust it to capture without dropping frames.
