Hopefully this questions doesn’t get lost in the shuffle again. LOL..

How would a 1600×1050 desktop (I’m using Dell 2005FPW monitor) appear on the NTSC display when it’s showing the user’s desktop? I’m a bit confused at how this translation takes place. On the Blackmagic web site there is an example of how a person can display their desktop on the external display using Decklink SD, but unless the resolutions of the computer screen match that of NTSC, wouldn’t it be squooshed and awkward? Or does it display a selected are of the desktop?

    Thanks,
    Mark

I should mention that I realize the Blackmagic web site says “The user can select any application and display it on the NTSC external display.”

What I’m after is trying to display my 720×486 Lightwave renders on the Decklink display. After a test redner finishes, Lightwave’s image viewer will show the image as a seperate moveable floating window that’s not attached to the main Lightwave application. If I could somehow get this to display on the external display (as opposed to me 1600×1050 desktop) then I’m happy. This is my deal-breaker on getting one of these cards. Hopefully there will be a plugin soon.
