Activity Forums Adobe After Effects one mask for all layers ?

    Hello friends,

    I would like to know if it’s possible to create one mask, that effects all layer below ?

    And yeah, if so, how can I do that ?

    yes…

    create a new solid add the mask that you want and place the layer above all the layers that you want to clip to the mask/alpha of that layer.

    bring up the modes panel in the timeline and switch that layer’s mode to stencil alpha (an option towards the bottom of the pulldown list). all layers bellow that layer should take on that solid’s mask/alpha.
