    Hey all

    I’m having a nightmare

FCPX keeps crashing when I load up any project that is referencing a particular event, is there any reason for this? Anything I can do?

Does upgrading to the latest version fix it (I didn’t want to do this just yet as I am in middle of the project)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, the project has to go out tomorrow and I am staring at rebuilding the whole edit in a different package!

    Cheers

    Olly

Have you done the usual: trash the prefs, delete the renders?

Hmm no, I’m quite new to FCPX, what do I need to do?

First shut down FCP X. On Finder go to your Project folder and locate the Render Files folder. There are three folders: High Quality Media, Peaks Data and Thumbnail Media. You can trash all of those if you wish, but first delete the “High Quality Media” folder and start the FCP X.
You can also use the Preference Manager app to trash your prefs. It’s free and highly recommended to have: https://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/

And if you are having problems with a particular Event the same advice goes. On Finder level delete the Render files on that Event folder. Hope all goes well!
