One clip in QT export not matching timeline.
Here’s the deal. I have a sequence in FCP 6.0.5 fully rendered. Ready to burn. I exported as a self-contained QT .mov. When I open the movie in either FCP or QT Pro, all looks exactly how it appears in the timeline except one clip. The clip is a subclip, on which I set In and Out points and did a fit to fill edit to the time line. I used this on several subclips from the same master clip. The duration of the clip has remained accurate but the clip plays extra media in the QT movie, as if a later Out point was set. When I play the clip in the timeline, it looks as intended. When I open it in the viewer, the In and Out points are still where I set them. I resaved, quit FCP and tried another export with the same results.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what is going on there but a work around might be to nest the sequence, render, and if it plays back correctly, locate the render file and use that as your exported file. Also, just as a long shot, clear your renders using the Render Manager and try again.

Thanks. Let me make sure I understand the steps. Create a new empty sequence. Nest this sequence into it. I thought rendered sequences do no need to be re-rendered when nested. But ok render all. Then find the latest modified file in the render folder and change the suffix to .mov? Then I can import it into other programs?
Is it possible that this one clip even though it is rendered in a sequence got corrupted somehow? Or might it be referencing a previous edit for some reason? Maybe I can just overwrite it with a fresh edit of the clip? Maybe even go back to the original master clip and trash the subclip.
