Dump your preferences holding Ctrl+Shift at start up, if that doesn’t work a new install may be required.

What’s the file extension? Are they DIVX or any MPEG? PPro is not good at handling these files.

[Vincent Becquiot] “Ctrl+Shift at start up”
That for older version of Premiere, for Ppro use:(plug-in cache file is like the preferences file.)

    Quote:
“2. Re-create the Adobe Premiere Pro PluginCache file.
Some startup problems are caused by a damaged PluginCache file. To re-create the file, hold down the Shift key while choosing Start > Programs > Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. Release the key when the Welcome screen appears.”

[patfish] “i have the problem with any file format.”

Here is a list of files that Ppro can use, any other can cause erratic behavior
