I’ve done a couple of jobs recently where I have been provided a Pro Res 4444 with an embedded Alpha channel. There was a request to extract, which obviously I could not do (until I saw the Dailymotion vid yesterday!!).

The system just ignored it and treated it as a standard Pro Res file. Didn’t have any trouble at all with it.

Only thing that was an issue for the client is that when i rendered my grade back to Pro Res 4444 the alpha was missing. Caused a bit of an issue at their end in the online but the Resolve didn’t struggle at all with it.
