on-Set HD playback for HVX200
What is an ideal HD monitor for on-set playback? I just checked the ones (Panasonic BTLH1700W 17″ Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor HD/SD) that Panasonic offered that goes with the HVX-200 and the price is obviously way out there- question: could I substitute this with any HDTV at, say, Best Buy? If the playback is 720N or 1080i, would this be an issue?

Sure you can but of course it won’t come with a waveform monitor or accurate image controls. But if you just want a simple playback monitor try one of the 17″ Sony LCD’s. Those are around $500 and are not bad. Make sure you get one that has component HD input.
